Steve Donahue, “When the Road Ends the Journey Begins - Crossing the Deserts of Change." As a young man Steve Donahue attempted to cross the Sahara Desert.  He learned from his adventure that life can be like a journey over shifting sands, especially times of transition or challenge.  Steve will share his captivating story and his Rules of Desert Travel to inspire and guide you on your own quest whether it is coping with Parkinson’s, caring for a loved one or simply searching for more meaning in your daily life.

Iris Selig, MA, LCPC, in “A Workshop for Crossing the Deserts of Change.” A follow-up session to ground the metaphors introduced by Steve Donahue in his keynote speech.  What is your desert and how are you crossing it?  Find your own inner compass and identify what can help you on the journey with your own or a loved one’s life with Parkinson’s.  Iris Selig, MA, LCPC, with Steve Donahue’s permission, has created this workshop which is based on his book, Shifting Sands: A Guidebook for Crossing the Deserts of Change.
